Course Overview
This three-day course is designed to provide practicing radiologists with the skills and understanding necessary to interpret high resolution CT of the chest in diffuse infiltrative lung diseases. During the program, participants will receive lectures on specific aspects of HRCT, interspersed with hands-on interpretation of cases related to those topics. Faculty will provide direct supervision and assistance with hands-on interpretation. The integration of clinical, radiologic, and pathologic information will also be discussed.
Target Audience
General radiologists and or non-thoracic imaging fellowship trained radiologists that are called upon to interpret HRCT studies in their practice.
Program Objectives:
At the conclusion of this course, particpants will be able to:
- Discuss the clinical indications and optimal approach for high resolution imaging of the lung parenchyma
- Utilize approach to CT differential diagnosis based on pattern and distribution of abnormality
- Know clinical features of the common interstitial lung diseases
- Understand the importance and mechanism of multidisciplinary consultation in diagnosis of interstitial lung disease
Please note: This course will offer the optional Workstation Introduction session at 7:00am on the first day of the course.
Attendees who complete a minimum of 100 cases will be awarded a Certificate of Proficiency stating they meet the Maintenance of Competence case requirement as specified in the ACR Practice Guidelines for the Performance of high-resolution Computer Tomography (HRCT) of the Lungs in Adults.
Cancellation Policy:
Full refunds, less a $250 administrative fee will be granted in response to written cancellation notifications received no later than 14 days prior to the start of the course. Notification of cancellation less than 14 days will be granted with a $500 administrative fee. No refund of any amount will be made for “no-shows” or cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to the course.
Course Transfer Policy:
Transfers are permitted within Education Center meetings. Transfers made less than 2 weeks prior to the course will be assessed a $250 administrative fee. All requests for transfer must be submitted in writing. Only one transfer will be permitted per registration, additional transfers will be charged a fee of $250.
Late registrations received within four days of the course will be charged an additional $500 (Members-in-Training: additional $250).
